Paul Starring loves the outdoors, but fly fishing is his favorite pastime. Paul grew up in Littleton, NH area, where he now lives with his wife and three daughters. He spent much of his childhood spin fishing for bass, perch, and pike, but when given a fly rod at 15 years old, he fell in love with fly fishing. His new hobby led him to explore the waters around his hometown and surrounding North Country.

As a Licensed NH Fishing Guide and a Registered Maine Guide, Paul has had the opportunity to teach others the excitement of fly fishing and show them the beauty of the North Country.

“Fly fishing is not just about catching fish, but about experiencing nature up close, challenging yourself, making friends, and sharing stories."

When not fishing, Paul spends his time in his vegetable garden and enjoying time with his family. As a board member of the Ammonoosuc Trout Unlimited Chapter, Paul works with the board towards cold water conservation, habitat restoration, and increasing the fly fishing experience for future generations. He also enjoys hunting, hiking, canoeing, and snowshoeing. If you ask him about some of the things he has on his bucket list, most of them will be places he wants to fish, but to him, nothing compares to New Hampshire.
